We are all living the same way
We are escaping the same way
Circling
We are a part of the same play
We think we're making our own way
Circling
You don't have to hold your head up high
Round and round
I won't run away this time
Till you show me what this life is for
Round and round
I'm not gonna let you change my mind
Till you show me what this life is for
We are afflicted by fiction
Building a case for eviction
Circling
Guarding a tower of ancients
Shooting down arrows of patience
And patiently circling
We are escaping the same way
Circling
We are a part of the same play
We think we're making our own way
Circling
You don't have to hold your head up high
Round and round
I won't run away this time
Till you show me what this life is for
Round and round
I'm not gonna let you change my mind
Till you show me what this life is for
We are afflicted by fiction
Building a case for eviction
Circling

Shooting down arrows of patience
And patiently circling
The little rental car sped up the road in San Francisco, blaring old metal music from the speakers as it continued on its journey through the city, joining the rest of the traffic as well. Inside of the car, is Autumn gripping tight at the wheel, eyes staring straight ahead at the road as she sings along quietly to the tune playing over the car’s speakers at the moment. She lets out a sigh and glances down at her cell phone sitting in its holder alongside of her, punching in a series of numbers as she listened to the dial tone attempt to reach the person she was trying to call.
”Hello?”
”Hi mom, it’s me.”
She heard a relieved sigh on the other end of the line.
”I’m glad that you called. Did you make it to San Francisco alright?”
”It was a drive, but I made it. I’m driving through town right now, looking for something to do. Probably should pull over somewhere and look this stuff up on my phone.”
Autumn bit her lip and turned the wheel, pulling into some Laundromat off the side of the road, picking her phone up off of the holder and beginning to look up what was hype in the city right now as far as food, drink, and of course shopping was concerned.
”Not a bad idea. It was nice to see you though, even though it was so short.”
”I’m sorry, mom. I didn’t have much time to spend at the house with you and dad, but I had to get out of town and head to San Fran as soon as possible, beat that traffic in before it got bad. I thought it would be nice to pop in, at least show my face and say hello for the most part. Oh and thanks for the goodies, I’ll definitely be enjoying those at some point this week.”
”You’re welcome, anything for you to bring a little bit of home on the road with you.”
”It’s a shame I wasn’t around longer, I could have gone fishing with dad. He usually likes it when I come along, someone to talk to. I could have talked him into saving some fish for me when I came back home again. Can’t exactly take that stuff with me, it’ll spoil for sure.”
There was a chuckle on the other end of the line.
”He’s only gone a couple of times since the opener, with friends I believe. They’ve only caught so much, got some saved here at the house. Oh he wanted me to pass the word on to you, since you were in and out after he left, was that he’s proud of you, happy that you won last week, and he’ll be watching this week.”
”He could call me and tell me this. He’s got my number.”
”True, I just think he was in a hurry. I’ll remind him tonight to give you a call.”
”Sounds good. I’m gonna let you go here, found some places to go look into, but I’ll be in touch soon. Say hi to everyone.”
”I will. Love you dear. Say hi to that nice boy, Phoenix for us.”
Autumn blushed, shaking her head.
”Love you too mom, bye.”
She replaced the phone back into its holder and pulling off the road towards her next destination, something called the Japanese Tea Garden, wanting to take the tour through the place and pick up some authentic Japanese items to take back home. Once she had her fill of the city, after all of that, she was going to have a few words with Devi and Alex Healy.
If they got anything from her they would know that she was a small woman, but with a lot to say about everything and everyone who didn’t care what their opinion was. She just wanted to be the best at what she did in the ring, and bust some heads.
Was that so much to ask?

There’s a pitch black room, and you can just barely make out the outline of a table and a chair there. A few minutes later there’s a set of footsteps entering, and an unlit candle is set down upon the middle of the table as a match is pulled out from a box, struck on the side of the box and lit aflame. The box is set down besides the candle, and the figure sits down in the chair, fingers interlaced together and placed underneath her chin as she stares deeply into the flickering flame of the candle.
”I don’t make promises I can’t keep. I think it’s rude to do so. I see people making promises, and saying this and that about all kinds of things…and they don’t deliver. It’s a little disheartening, and rude if you ask me. If you’re going to promise something then at least have the balls to deliver on your promise otherwise you’re going to lose a lot of people. I’ve seen it where I was, I see it here now. I hope there is more to this place than people who can’t live up to their own hype, their own promises and whatnot. Now when I came here to the GGW, I made a few promises to myself, to those fans loyal to me. I said I was going to continue doing what I’ve always done since I’ve started wrestling and that is busting heads and taking names, fighting like there’s no tomorrow. Done that. I was going to make people remember my name, and make them understand that you shouldn’t mess with the Beautiful Psychopath. Still continuing to do that. And the last was I was going to make my way to the top, and hold championship gold…again. That one is an ongoing promise, one that I intend to see through to the very end.”
Autumn passes her hand over the flame briefly with a small smirk on her face, leaning back in the chair, arms crossed over her chest.
”So this week they’ve got me facing off against someone named Alex Healy and Devi Novaković…again. I don’t know what the boss man is thinking, throwing this woman into the mix again with me especially. If you people weren’t paying attention last week, then you didn’t see me take this girl to the cleaners. I mean don’t get me wrong, I applaud Devi for giving it everything she had out there in that ring. I told her to, I told her to bring me her ‘A’ game and give me everything she had. I said this was going to be a match where it would be experience vs self-taught, that it would give the crowd something to talk about.
Oh baby did they talk. I stunned that crowd into silence when I dropped the chick in mid-air, mind you, with my Claw of the Night. They still talk, and they boo because of what I did. Screw them, I say. I did exactly what I said I was going to do. I kicked the door down and brought the fight to her….and I won…because I didn’t back down and I didn’t fall short to deliver a show that everyone would be talking about.
I just don’t understand why she’s being so silent this time. Maybe she’s scared, scared to come out and face me again because she knows if she does, she’s going to get shut down again like she did last week.
Who knows.”
Autumn shrugs.
”Then there’s this Alex Healy guy, the self-proclaimed ‘Canadian-made Punk’. A clever and unoriginal rip off of a man who probably could run circles around you in that ring. But I’m getting ahead of myself here.
You’ve been paying attention…of sorts. Good. Then you aren’t as much of a jackass as I thought you were, but I am here to set the record straight about me and everything you think you know about me. Then we can get back to you and what’s going to happen to you out there in that ring. So listen up because I’m about to tell you a tale, and it’s going to be good.
I never said I wanted to be the best like no one ever was…why the fuck are you quoting pokemon…are you 12 or something?
I said I am the best at what I do, and that’s all you need to know. If you want to see the proof, you want to find out about me since you can’t apparently get off your ass to do it, is go find tapes of my performances from my previous company and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about. I took on the biggest names, the biggest guys that they had to offer and I loved every minute of it.
I wasn’t all brute force and rage like this. I used to be one of the good guys, the hero, until I had a change of heart at a pay per view in Japan. I realized that in order to get ahead in this place, I had to quit playing the hero, quit catering to what the fans wanted, and just finally be…me.
And it worked. I felt like I breathed in a lungful of fresh air that I hadn’t done in ages. I was free to be myself, my true self, and I haven’t looked back. I brought new life to my career and I don’t regret any of it. I was trained under the hand of the great Shannon Moore who taught me everything I need to know about this business, this life, and how to dominate in that ring being a woman of my size. I’m grateful to him for everything he’s done. He’s not only my teacher, he’s a close friend, and he’s a big part of my life.
Lemme give you a little quote from him, since you want to quote Kid Rock.
"The book of D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F says that you’re nothing but a bully and a douche-bag."
Kind of fits you, don’t you think?
I can fly around that ring, and I can use my speed and my size against you. Then again, there’s things in my arsenal that you have no idea about that I can use to take you out and keep you pacified. Try and catch me, I dare you, because I’ll slip out of your greasy little grasp and hit you with shit you can’t even imagine.
I’m not all about the high fly life, I like to stay grounded sometimes, keep things level before I blast you in the face with my Claw of the Night. That one move, Alex, has toppled more people than you’ll ever know, and tonight I plan on adding you to the list and being the one that put the ‘1’ in your loss column, because you need it to bring you down a few pegs.”
Autumn lets out a sigh, a bored look on her face.
It’s simple you two, you’re dealing with someone who likes to fight, bust heads, and continue to fight to rise to the top. A former champion who takes no prisoners and will put her body on the line just to pull off a victory. Just try and stop me, I dare you.”
Autumn smirks and gets up from the chair, leaning close to the candle and blowing it out.
