Just to break the ice a bit more. Wrestling is one thing we all have in common. So what got you started?

Stone Cold Steve Austin and my Grandpa. My grandpa was a wrestling fan for as long as he was alive, real strong man in his youth up until his heart attack. Part of me suspects he may have known some local wrestlers that never made it big through the gym years ago when he was young and the territories were still a thing, he knew insider knowledge that wasn't well known before the advent of the internet.
Anyways he was a big WCW fan during the Monday Night Wars (he flipped between both) and I started developing an interest. Once I knew what channel and time it was on I began watching it every monday night like clockwork and during this time the first wrestler that really caught me was Stone Cold. Ever since I've been watching it in one form or another, as I got older I learned about guys like Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Mr. Perfect, Captain Lou Albano as well as more about guys like Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage, two wrestlers I knew about when I was really young but missed out on by choosing Raw over Nitro earlier on. As much as I may get fed up with WWE at times there are really many other great alternatives still give me great enjoyment that remind me of when my Grandpa and I would listen to scrammbled PPV feeds on Sundays.

Not sure what got me started to be honest. I think I had started to flip through the channels and saw the WWE in about '95-'96 and I was hooked. I didn't have TNT at that time so I could only watch the WWE and it stuck with me ever since. I have stopped watching at times but I somehow always get back into it. Also, maybe there was a little taboo to it as well because my dad never liked it so maybe it was just me watching something that I shouldn't be.
