Date: Wednesday May 20th Location: San Fransisco, CA Commentary: Alexander Smith (play-by-play), Mark Robertson (color) Promoter: Isaac Cornelius III Authority: Isaac Cornelius III First RP (48 Hour) Deadline: Saturday, May 16th, 9PM PDT Deadline: Monday, May 18th, 9PM PDT
Singles Match Silas Romero vs Gio DeFalco
Kicking things off we have Hipster Hercules vs The Jersey Goon. Barring any last minute changes this will be the match that kicks off the inaugural edition of Gold Rush! There's nothing like leaving a first impression and in Golden Gate Wrestling you only get one chance to do exactly that. Will Knockout Supreme knock it out of the ballpark or will Gio DeFalco prove that you can't keep a good Italian down?
Singles Match Reed Williams w/Barrel vs Thaddeus Stone
In what could easily be a sleeper match of the night we have the titular "rookie vs veteran" match-up. Perhaps rookie isn't the right word to describe Reed Williams, the 25 year old from Atlanta, Georgia but this is his first chance for a major break. Feeling left out on opportunity after opportunity he comes to Golden Gate Wrestling with a chip on his shoulder and looking to make an impact in short order. Thaddeus Stone represents everything Reed Williams stands against; he's an experienced veteran looking for a new lease on life inside the squared circle. Thaddeus Stone may have been away from the circuit for the last few years but he brings a wealth of experience and a fist full of wisdom for those that haven't quite earned their stripes. Will experience trump raw talent and athleticism, or will "The Nonparallel" find a way to tag in Father Time for a timely assist?
Singles Match Matt Ward vs Showtime
Matt Ward, The Windy City nightmare. Showtime, the local boy from Caliornia. In what promises to be a hard hitting bout these two men will square off in the middle of the ring, battling for supremacy. Can the upstart, cocky but popular Showtime steal the show in his first professional wrestling match? Will he be able to talk his way out of a corner or will Matt Ward beat him to the punch? Each man is looking for a fresh start, who can strike the mother lode?
Singles Match Alex Healy vs Kai Sanchez w/Christy LeFleur and Camille Westwood
The Rec Centre Hero has his hands full this week as he takes on The Triple Threat Kai Sanchez. Healy has some experience on the national stage as well as the independent circuit but he's going to need to be sharp as a tack when he takes on Kai. Wherever Kai Sanchez is, Christy LeFleur and Camille Westwood aren't far behind. Will Camille and Christy be the other 2/3rds of the Triple Threat in this equation? For that matter how is Kai going to deal with Healy and his girls at the same time? We feel sorry for Bobby Brooks having to keep order in this one!
Singles Match Shawna Martinez-Washington w/Frank Washington vs Eli Coffin
A clash of wills, a duel of wits. On one side of the ring we have Eli Coffin; a cerebral tactician who treats every match like a game of mental chess. Once the young man was a popular Straight A student before he let his mind turn to more sinister thoughts, deciding to use his intelligence for his own gain at the cost of others. Shawna Martinez-Washington is the wife of a student of military warfare; Frank Washington and is a competitant wrestler in her own right. Raised in Italy she has been rumored to have family connections to the Italian Mafia. While these claims have thus neither been proven or disproven she carries herself as a veteran with knowledge beyond her years. Known for putting on wrestling clinics elsewhere she looks to begin her journey in Golden Gate Wrestling on a positive note to blaze a brand new trail. Time will tell who wants this victory more, as fresh momentum is on the line in this fresh start.
Fatal Fourway Dash Miles vs BURAI w/Alex Bradford vs Sevele Ortega w/The Crusade vs Adam Johnson
The field is sure crowded for this one! On each corner stands a competitor ready to crave his path in Golden Gate Wrestling. Dash Miles is looking to turn over a new leaf in his debut while Sevele Ortega looks to do The Crusade's bidding on the road to what they hope is eventual conquest. Bur BURAI, the young man from Japan is looking to break onto the scene with veteran Alex Bradford at his side and Adam Johnson? Adam Johnson is the wildcard in this match as a last minute addition. Who will emerge from the chaos and destruction and come out on top?
Main Event Golden Gate Championship Frank Washington vs Drew Stevenson
After highly contested meetings backstage between IC3 and that powers that be, a main event match has finally been agreed to. IC3 knowing that he needed a huge attraction to bring eyes upon his product did his fair share of due diligence to bring some of the best wrestlers on God's Green Earth. But he wanted something beyond just wrestling ability, he wanted wrestlers who felt free to speak their minds and to take the initiative in this personality driven business; enter Frank and Drew. The two are often seen as partners in crime, brothers, best friends but with the biggest prize in all of California on the line everything will be put to the test. Is IC3 looking to drive a wedge between these battle tested veterans or is he merely capitalizing on their notoriety in a shameless ratings grab? Regardless of what happens, the winner is sure to have a large target painted on their backs with a hungry roster waiting for the next opportunity.

Alexander Smith: Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the inaugural edition of Golden Gate Wrestling: Gold Rush! I’m Alexander Smith alongside my broadcast partner Mark Robertson and I have to say; it is GREAT to be back! Mark Robertson: I feel like I’ve entered a time warp into the not too distant past, you’re the last person I’d ever expect to work with again, I thought you retired! Alexander Smith: I have at least a few more years left in me Mark. Mark Robertson: Well I’m sure glad to hear that Smith, absolutely thrilled. Robertson could be heard delivering that with a bit of sarcasm. Alexander Smith: Well for those just tuning in we have a treat for you tonight. From top to bottom this card is stacked from Silas Romero taking on Gio Defalco to open the show, the fatal fourway, and last but not least the Main Event for the Golden Gate Championship as Frank Washington takes on Drew Stevenson! All this and more coming at you tonight! Mark Robertson: I just hope you stay professional during tonight’s Main Event, I know you can be a bit opinionated at times to say the least. Alexander Smith: If anyone should keep it professional it should be you. I know what a huge Stevenson supporter you are but can you really condone his words leading up to tonight? Mark Robertson: YES! It’s a business and if there’s one thing Drew has always done best is his job, period. No ifs, ands, or buts. I’ve traveled the world with him and whether you love or hate the man he always gets results. Alexander Smith: Maybe so but I’m beginning to wonder if he’s a sociopath myself. He said he would break family if he had to? How long do these men go back together? Is it really worth throwing away such a bond for a belt? Mark Robertson: War is blind Smith; you have to do what you need to in order to win. Before the two on commentary could banter any further though “Money (Instrumental)” by Pink Floyd hits the arena as the crowd cheers. Out from the back steps the head honcho himself, Isaac Cornelius III; IC3 wearing a blue pinstripe suit.Julian Masterson: Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome the Owner of Golden Gate Wrestling, Isaac Cornelius the Third; I…C…3! IC3 places his hand above his heart as he smiles on the way to the ring. Masterson holds up the top rope and holds down the middle for IC3 to enter as he quickly takes the microphone.
G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB!
IC3: Welcome to the GOLD RUSH! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB!
IC3: When I decided to toss my hat into the ring I knew I had to choose the right market to make an impact. I needed to research the demographics, I needed to scout venues and I needed to analyze the market vs potential returns. Sure it’s easy to set up an empire in New York, Miami, or even Atlantic City if you have the resources but let’s be honest; that market is saturated into oblivion. They’ve become a cesspool of corruption and quite frankly if you ask me they suffer from a complete and total lack of class! You want proof? Look no further than Baltimore. I mean how could you loot and riot in your own city and attack your own police officers who might are add are only doing their job trying to protect YOU! What do they do? They shoot cops, criminals band together to take out the men in blue and if you’re a certain ex-Ravens running back you can beat your wife while the league tries to cover it up! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
IC3: I know! I decided early on that I would refuse to associate my company with such wastes of space on this beautiful Earth! When it came down to it I knew I had to come to California and I’m sorry but… well Oakland just couldn’t make the cut. I mean have you ever gone to an Oakland Raiders game? People are drunk and assaulting each other for sport and don’t even get me started on their violent crime IC3 receives a mixed but mostly negative reaction for the shot at Oakland as it appears a good contingent made their way to the show from across the bay.IC3: But that’s ok! I knew San Francisco with their record for looking out for the environment and actually showing some pride in their city would be the perfect venue to build around. But I’m sure most of you already knew that but the reason why I’m really out here is to make a last minute change to the card. As you all know tonight we’ll be crowning our first ever Golden Gate Champion. It’s company policy that in order for our brand to go forward we need to waste no time in crowning our first champion and in order to ensure that you people get the champion you deserve I decided to make this announcement to start the show. Although things have been heated between our two challengers I believe that both Frank Washington and Drew Stevenson are if nothing else strictly professional. Both men have the pride and desire to give you people the best match possible, to give you your money’s worth and I’m confident they will leave it all in the ring. But just to make sure that you do get the champion you deserve, tonight’s match is now a No Disqualification match! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB! G-G-DUB!
Mark Robertson: What a blockbuster announcement! Alexander Smith: This is disgusting Mark! Mark Robertson: Disgusting? I thought you were a man of the people! These people want to watch Drew knock the ever-living snot out of Frank! Alexander Smith: He’s driving a wedge between two brothers! He’s selling both men down the river in the name of the almighty dollar! This is nothing more than bloodsport! IC3: There must be a winner! Enjoy the rest of your night and always remember San Francisco, stay classy!

Singles Match Silas Romero vs Gio DeFalco Referee: Bobby Brooks
The match starts out with Hipster Hercules showing his quick strike capabilities as he manages to catch Gio DeFalco off guard with a roundhouse kick early on after Gio left himself open after a missed discus punch. Silas Romero manages to control the flow of the match from here for the next several minutes as he works to neutralize the Wise Guy’s striking game. Silas however makes the mistake of playing to the crowd a little too much giving Gio precious moments to recover. Silas with a flourish of showmanship points and yells at Gio to “You will kneel!” before running against the ropes as a kneeling Gio gets back to his feet. Just as Silas Romero looks to connect with Kneel Before ZOD (Busaiku Knee Kick) Gio manages to duck and run immediately to his right, launching himself off the ropes to connect with a Arrivederci (Springboard single arm DDT). The crowd reminds divided at this point as there’s essentially a 60/40 split in support with Gio carrying a little bit more of the crowd. With a full head of steam Gio controls the next several moments of the match as he mixes in a flurry of kicks and punches and chops as he looks to keep the Knockout Supreme off balance. Gio goes to pick up Silas Romero and points to the turnbuckle as the crowd goes wild as he goes to connect with the Bada Bing Bada Boom (Snake Eyes) but Silas Romero is able to slip out and land behind him as he shoves him towards the turnbuckle and catches him with a GKFO (Rolling Elbow) on the rebound. Hitting the flash knockout out of nowhere Silas drops down for the cover as Bobby Brooks counts 1,2,3. Winner: Silas Romero

Singles Match Reed Williams w/Barrel vs Thaddeus Stone Referee: Bobby Brooks
Reed Williams controls this match from the start getting in offense early and often. Thaddeus Stone manages to get a few good punches in early on but he’s unable to keep up with Reed’s speed and is quickly overtaken. Reed wastes no time trying to put this match away as he hits the Leg-Hook Saito Suplex about 2 minutes into the match, hooking the leg for the pin as Thaddeus Stone barely kicks out at 2.5. For the next few minutes Reed Williams takes his time to show off his superior athleticism, unhindered by the cold embrace of Father Time as he showcases an impressive variety of suplexes and takes the time to throw in a springboard splash for good measure. Thaddeus Stone looks to make a late comeback and tries to catch Reed Williams by surprise with The Perfect Cut but Reed manages to shove him off and connect with the Sweet Dreams [Cupcake] superkick to end any hopes of a comeback. Reed strikes a pose with his elbow on his opponent’s chest as Bobby Brooks counts to 3. Winner: Reed Williams

Sitting in a calm environment, dressed nicely as he looked forward, the camera panned in on him at an angle. He was poised with confidence.
“They call me… the War Machine. If you were to ask me what I was all about.. what makes me so special.. what makes me stand out from everybody else and what my goals are-- I’d tell you that it’s really simple. My goal is to become the Golden Gate Wrestling champion but it’s going to be just a goal because on June 3rd when I make my in-ring debut it’s going to begin the path to a reality."
In the background a man wearing a Golden Girls t-shirt can be seen walking behind him. He stares intently into the camera behind Noah Adelaide and puts his finger to his mouth. It was almost as if Elmer Fudd was hunting rabbits, how did this guy get inside the building anyway?
"The reality of Noah Adelaide becoming the first champion. This is a reality that nobody can escape. I may not be the biggest, and I may not be the strongest but one thing I damn sure am, is the best. You don’t have to like it, but you damn sure gotta deal with it. So mark your calendars because if you think this night is something special, then just wait and tune in on June 3rd because that’s when the War Machine joins the battle and everything gets kicked up a notch and the reality hits you square in the face.”

Singles Match Matt Ward vs Showtime Referee: Joe Angelini
Matt Ward wastes no time trying to take the fight to Showtime as he shows off his impressive brawling ability early on. Showtime not one to be outdone blocks a punch and delivers a thunderous knife edge chop to the chest of Matt Ward and then another and another. Before long the tables turn as Showtime is the one giving the veteran brawler a lesson in striking as Matt Ward decides to duck out of the ring for a quick breather. Joe Angelini yells at Matt Ward to get back in the ring but before he knows it he’s trying to keep order as Showtime and Matt Ward begin brawling on the outside. The crowd goes wild for Showtime as he takes it to the longtime veteran and finally Angelini gets his wish after Showtime keeps breaking the ref’s count at 9. Matt Ward catches a second wind after a well-placed thumb to the eye disrupts his rhythm and quickly he manages to hit a Rush Street Drop (spinning spinebuster)before he can recover. Matt Ward only manages to catch a 2 count off the Rush Street Drop and after arguing with Angelini exits the ring and grabs a chair from ringside to send a message to the cocky newcomer. As Showtime goes to turn around Matt Ward slides back in the ring and looks to connect… but he hits nothing but air as Showtime evades the chair and kicks him swiftly in the gut before hitting a snap DDT. The crowd goes wild as Showtime kips up off the mat and squats and stomps on it several times as a groggy Matt Ward struggles to get to his feet. As Matt Ward turns around Showtime hits Show's Over [Rock Bottom] on Matt Ward and covers for the 3 count. Winner: Showtime

Singles Match Alex Healy vs Kai Sanchez w/Christy LeFleur and Camille Westwood Referee: Bobby Brooks
As the match starts Kai Sanchez manages to get in some early offense thanks to the early distractions by LeFleur and Westwood at ringside. Bobby Brooks appears to have difficulty trying to keep track of both women and Sanchez manages to get a nearfall off a quick rollup at 2.4. The crowd is firmly behind Healy as they start clapping and making some noise which quickly draws the ire of the two ladies at ringside. Healy quickly springs to life shortly thereafter as he manages to connect with several knife edge chops to the chest as Sanchez went to grapple him as he got to his feet. Healy feeds off the energy of the crowd as he begins a flurry of armdrags and dropkicks before irish whipping Sanchez to the corner and begins raining down a flurry of elbows to the head. 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8…9. Healy runs to the opposite corner and connects with a running elbow as he shouts to the crowd "BOOM BAB-AH!" Christy LeFleur hops on the apron to try to get Bobby Brooks attention as Camille Westwood tries to grab Healy’s attention. Healy walks over and tries to get her off the apron as Kai Sanchez goes to try to get in a quick shot from behind but almost like he had eyes in the back of his head Healy turns around just in time and sidesteps as Kai runs into Camille. Sanchez’s eyes nearly pop out of his head as Healy catches him behind with a rollup. Bobby Brooks turns around to catch the pinfall and counts 1, 2, 3. Winner: Alex Healy

Singles Match Shawna Martinez-Washington w/Frank Washington vs Eli Coffin Referee: Joe Angelini
Both competitors appear to be evenly matched in the opening minutes of the match as they each look to scout each other. Shawna initially obtains the upper hand as Eli exposed himself after taking too much time to taunt after a clothesline. Shawna catches him off guard with a german suplex and spends the next few moments stomping a mudhole dry through him and showcasing a wide variety of strikes. Eli realizing that discretion is the better part of valor manages to make his way to and ducks under the ropes as Referee Joe Angelini calls for a clean break. Eli Coffin wastes no time capitalizing from the quick breather as he manages to hit a swift enziguri as Shawna turns her attention away from the referee and follows up with multiple precise strikes to the head and neck area. Over the next few minutes Eli Coffin is in full control as he exploits that surgically repaired neck and manages to score a near fall. The crowd begins to really rally behind Shawna at this point as Frank helps lead the charge from ringside. Eli looks to put the match away with a dragon sleeper and applies as much pressure as he can as Joe Angelini asks Shawna if she wishes to quit. With a resounding “NO” she struggles to get free for a few moments but the crowd claps and manages to motivate her to escape the hold. At long last she’s able to position herself to where she’s able to land a kick to the forehead of Eli Coffin and forces him to break the hold. Eli stumbles back and waits for Shawna to get back to her feet and goes for a Running High Knee but Shawna manages to catch a second wind and catches him with the Jungle Queen™ [Chokebomb] as he charges. After turning the tide Shawna calls for the end as she looks to hit the Bella Mafia™ [Glam Slam] on Eli but ever aware of the situation Eli almost steals the match with a victory roll pin for 2.8. Eli has one last burst of offense as he sees his window closing rapidly and goes for the Grand Atonement [Codebreaker] but Shawna just manages to slip out of his grasp and follows up with the il Impassable™ [Curb Stomp]. Joe Angelini counts the pinfall 1, 2, 3. Winner: Shawna Martinez-Washington

Waves can be heard crashing across the sandy beach of San Francisco, California as Golden Gate Park can be seen not far off in the distance. As the sun shines brilliantly just past noon The Sin City Slicer himself can be seen making his way to the Lookout Center by Ocean Beach. Noticing the camera crew following him he nodded and pointed their direction.Theo Vega: The City By the Bay, The Foggy City, The Pans of the West. They say St. Louis is the Gateway to the West but it was through these harbors that many seeking their fortune arrived; The Gold Rush. Men had diamonds in their eyes, they were lured by the promises of the good life and many would give up everything for the chance to have the world at their fingertips. Carrying himself with an air of confidence he makes his way towards the observation deck. Cool, suave, and collected the Sin City Native felt right at home and he wasn’t afraid to seize the opportunity on the big stage as everyone would soon find out.Theo Vega: In this city the underdogs have the chance to become the TOP dogs but you’re not looking at some scrawny little chihuahua looking to punch above his weight; no, no, no. With a confident grin he shakes his finger back and forth several times as a chuckle escapes his lips.Theo Vega: You’re looking at a man with a physical pedigree that’s climbing ever closer to its peak! I’m a certifiable heavyweight inside… and out of the ring if you know what I mean. With a knowing wink to the camera he continues in stride, not even missing a beat.Theo Vega: But yet I see certain people with their forked tongues speaking in riddles and lies. The Crusade would bring about the fall of man as we know it if they could just find enough Manson Family and Jonestown rejects to drink the Kool-Aid but if you ask me Sevele and Van of Arcadia have been on that sweet sugary poison from an early age to fall in goosestep with “Reverend” Kaiser. But as far as I’m concerned if that faux-pious televangelist tries to get funny with me I’ll show him what it’s like to be in the primetime slot with T.V. Drew Stevenson? He’s a keyboard warrior, the loudest chihuahua in the room. He just can’t let go of the spotlight and demands it at all times wherever he goes. To him everyone is but a crutch, a pawn and without a parlor trick up his slimly sleeve I have to wonder if Father Time would ship him to Shady Shoals to harass the elderly instead of STEALING everyone’s hard earned money time and time again. You’re a liar, a fraud, a thief and take it from someone hailing from Sin City bub; we take your kind out behind the shed real quick. T.V. makes a gun with his hand and fires a phantom bullet straight at the camera much like one would expect from James Bond. Theo Vega: Thank God the U.S. never switched to the Emerald Standard otherwise we would’ve never gotten out of the Great Depression! We’d still have Tom, Dick, and Harry Capone smuggling Canadian liquor, massacring bank tellers whenever their checks bounced! Don’t let your previous accolades cloud your pretty little self-entitled head of yours, little man. When we cross paths, and you can bet your powdered ass we will, I’m going to send you back to that shiny little Academy in Kansas City in a cozy little box labeled “fragile” so you can tweet to the world in peace how the Sin City Slicer diced you up! From here the camera cuts just briefly and as we next see Theo Vega walking on the sandy beach as the waves crash at his feet as the footage resumes filming. As he leisurely strolls on the beach he can be seen with a confident smile as he casually extends his arms at his sides to soak in the sun and fresh salty air.Theo Vega: The measuring stick just changed around here and you’re looking right at him. To all the liars, the thieves, the frauds; you want a war? You’re gonna get one. Keep believing in your own hype, keep pounding your chests like the overgrown apes you are; the Sin City Slicer is gonna cut you down. Suddenly T.V. stops right in his tracks as he sees a group of women playing beach volleyball in the distance. With a grin he lowers his sunglasses and turns to the camera.Theo Vega: Now if you’ll excuse me I’ve got some… business to attend to. I’ll be seeing you real soon Golden Gate Wrestling.

Fatal Fourway Dash Miles vs BURAI w/Alex Bradford vs Sevele Ortega w/The Crusade vs Adam Johnson Referee: Joe Angelini
The match starts with only three men inside the ring as Sevele Ortega can be seen outside with his Crusade stable mates Van of Arcadia and Cameron Kaiser awaiting his orders. While initially weary of the outside presence BURAI, Dash Miles, and Adam Johnson soon turn their attention towards each other BURAI and Johnson quickly strike an alliance and turn their attention towards Dash Miles and begin double teaming him. Dash Miles manages to fight off Adam Johnson in the early goings of the match but before he could regain his composure he gets blindsided by BURAI as he takes him down with a thundering Discus Lariat. BURAI manages to take control from here as he manages to work Dash Miles over with his strong style wrestling and strikes but Dash manages to sneak in a vicious uppercut after enduring the flurry which stuns BURAI momentarily. Dash manages to work his way back into the match from there as he lands several more uppercuts before nearly taking his head off with a clothesline. Adam Johnson inserts himself back into the fray as he catches him from behind with a german suplex with a bridge for a 2 count. Before Adam Johnson can truly take control of the situation however Cameron Kaiser gives Sevele Ortega his marching orders as he hits a full nelson suplex. Dash and Johnson manage to strike a temporary truce as they try to combine forces but Sevele Ortega as the fresh man manages to hold them at bay as he quickly hits them with a pair of elbow strikes that nearly knock some teeth out. Ortega whips each man to opposite corners and hits a running corner splash to Johnson first before going for Dash. Dash however sees it coming and manages to move out of the way at the last moment and catches him in a bridging fishermans suplex. Angelini manages to count to 2.4 as BURAI grabs him y the foot and drags him outside of the ring. At this point an all our brawl breaks out between BURAI and Dash on the outside as they throw the kitchen sink at each other strike for strike. Johnson, peering up from the mat sees a prime opportunity as he smirks and waits for Ortega to get up. Van seizing the moment hopped up on the apron to get his attention which also quickly draws the ire or Angelini. Cameron Kaiser takes this moment to slide a Singapore cane to Ortega who quickly uses it on Johnson as he charges after him. After hitting a flurry of blows with the cane he picks him up unceremoniously and hits the Dawn of Ragnarok (Fireman's Carry Facebuster). As Van sees this she giggles and hops off the apron as Angelini turns around just in time to see the pinfall. 1, 2, 3. Winner: Sevele Ortega

Main Event Golden Gate Championship No Disqualification - There Must Be A Winner Frank Washington vs Drew Stevenson Referee: Jack Williams
As the match starts neither man is able to grab a definitive advantage early on as each can be seen jockeying for position. Frank manages to gradually gain momentum in the early going as he manages to avoid an armbar takedown and countering with a belly-to-back suplex. Frank follows up with several stiff elbows to the face of Drew Stevenson. Stevenson’s first instinct is to go for the ropes but realizing that the referee can’t threaten a disqualification opts to go outside the ring instead. Frank gives chase and tries to catch Stevenson but he ducks back into the ring and out again. After a cat and mouse chase Stevenson finally manages to turn the tables after hitting a low blow after being cornered. For the next several minutes Stevenson is in control as he takes the time to mock both the fans and a man he once called his brother with a show of arrogance such as slapping him repeatedly in the face while downed. Stevenson begins to start targeting the leg of Frank Washington looking to limit his mobility. Stevenson after keeping Washington grounded for several moments’ locks in the Figure Four Leglock. Stevenson manages to score several near falls as Washington’s shoulders fall to the mat but eventually with the crowd rallying behind him Frank manages to reverse the pressure on the hold. Stevenson manages to scramble furiously towards the ropes as he clutches it desperately but Jack Williams reminds him that due to the match he can’t call for a break. Stevenson manages to wriggle free as both men could be seen lying on the mat. Jack Williams begins the standard 10 count and both men manage to make it up at the count of 8; Drew with the aid of the ropes and Frank by rolling to the outside. Stevenson, smelling blood in the water ducks out of the ring and makes his way to the outside but as he reaches his adversary he’s met with a thundering knife edge chop as the crowd shouts “WOOOOOOOOO!” in approval. Stevenson delivers a knife edge chop back as the crowd responds back with a chorus of boos instead. Washington chops back, then Stevenson, Washington, Washington, Stevenson, Stevenson, Washington, Washington, Washington. As Frank Washington wins out the chop battle he whips Stevenson like a freight train on a collision course straight into the ringsteps. As Washington makes his way around the ring he uses the apron for leverage scouting Stevenson and as he sees him make it to his feet uses an apron modified Fall From Grace, pushing himself off the apron instead of the rope. The move may as well hurt Washington just as much though as he clutches his leg after connecting, giving Stevenson several precious moments to recover. As Washington makes it back to his feet Stevenson pounces on the opening and leaps to his feet, hitting him with a devastating chop block, causing him to scream in pain as he falls to the ground. Stevenson slams his knee on the ground several times before positioning it on the apron and jumping on it feet first upon climbing on the apron himself. Stevenson makes a choking gesture with his hands around his own neck much to the disgust of the crowd before he slides the hometown hero back into the ring. Stevenson drags his leg to the ringpost and slams it repeatedly against it as Jack Williams can do nothing but watch. With a sinister grin Stevenson yells at Washington to quit who despite the damage his leg has taken defiantly refuses. Stevenson warns him one more time before running his leg full speed again the post and still Washington refuses to give in. Finally deciding that enough was enough Stevenson goes for one more figure four leglock but this time opting to wrap it around the ringpost as he applies the BoneCrusher (Figure Four Leg Lock around the ring post). Washington screams in agony as he tries in vain to escape the hold until a very nasty, blood curdling *CRUNCH* can be heard. Jack Williams immediately calls for the bell as Frank Washington could be seen turning pale from the sheer pain. Stevenson takes his time to release the hold as Joe Angelini and Bobby Brooks run out to help Jack Williams pry Stevenson out of the hold. Winner and NEW Golden Gate Champion: Drew Stevenson (referee stoppage) "I'm the Man" by Aloe Blacc can be heard playing as the much ends as the trio of referees do their best to pry Stevenson out of the hold and away from Frank Washington. Steven O’Reilly, head of Talent Relations for GGW emerges from the back with a medical team and finally the referees are able to force Stevenson to break the hold. Frank Washington is screaming in pain clutching his leg as the crowd showers the arena with boos, some people beginning to toss trash into the ring as Stevenson looks absolutely remorseless. Mark Robertson: Finally Golden Gate Wrestling has a Champion they can be proud of! Hard fought victory, well deserved! Alexander Smith: He broke Frank’s leg! How could you, how could anyone be proud of that? I understand that this is a very physical sport; I get that but nobody wants to see someone’s livelihood get taken away from them! He planned on that, he intentionally tried to break his leg and he did it that son of a bitch! Some brother! How can he be proud of himself? Mark Robertson: He should’ve tapped out! The hold under No Disqualification rules is completely legal and he should’ve swallowed his pride. Alexander Smith: Swallowed his pride? Are you kidding me? It took 3 grown men just to force him to break that hold; he had no intentions of letting go until he crippled the man! He should be fired! Drew Stevenson is a disgrace to professional wrestling! He can go straight to hell! Drew Stevenson throws his hands up and slides out of the ring as the medical staff reaches ringside. Stevenson feigns going for his belt and instead shoves the medical staff out of the way as he starts to stomp mercilessly on the broken leg which causes fans to throw chairs now into the ring out of protest. Alexander Smith seeing enough throws his headset down and takes his tie off as he goes to personally intervene. Smith tackles Stevenson off of Frank Washington but quickly gets punched in the face and then mounted by Stevenson who unleashes several more. As Alexander Smith begins to bleed from his forehead Stevenson runs his hand over it and wipes it over his chest with a sinister grin before shoving his face into the ground. The crowd’s deafening boos quickly turn to cheers as Shawna Martinez darts out from the back with a steel chair in hand. Drew’s eyes nearly pop out of their sockets as he sees her making a bee line to the ring and quickly tries to evade her by running around the ring. Shawna nearly manages to catch him and slams the chair hard against the ringpost; just barely missing his head.
Just before she can get another shot Hans Vandenberg, Head of Security grabs the chair from behind and yanks it out of her hands as the crowd nearly riots on the spot. Security begins to pile out from the back trying to keep the situation under control and even members of the police department soon join them coming out from the back. Shawna throws a right hook straight into the jaw of Hans who even seems to be taken off-guard as he throws his sunglasses off in a fit of rage. At this point security grabs ahold of Shawna to prevent her from pursuing Stevenson or further assaulting Hans.
Meanwhile as all of this is happening Steven O’Reilly and the medical team try to tend to Frank’s injuries and soon after a stretcher is wheeled out as they show the utmost care not to aggravate a severe injury any further. Several members of security split off from the main group to personally escort the medical team out of the arena.
IC3 can be seen maneuvering through the mess as he grabs the Golden Gate Championship from ringside lest a full blow riot breaks out and the belt gets stolen on the first night. Julian Masterson looks mortified not only with the situation but with the fact that he doubles as the janitor he’ll have to somehow clean up this mess. With the belt in tow IC3, Mark Robertson, and Drew Stevenson rush to the back as the show goes off air.
