In just a couple of days, the "War Machine" Noah Adelaide would clash with a man known simple as Showtime. A man that was six inches and almost one hundred pounds bigger than Noah but if one thing was ever certain about Noah is he never backed out from a fight. He was given the name War Machine by Drew Stevenson because of the fight that is constantly in him and the fight he constantly brought to his opponent. Just because Noah wasn't the biggest guy in the room didn't mean he wouldn't be the best guy in the room. Showtime made short work of Matt Ward two weeks ago, and that was fine but this was Noah's debut and he wasn't going down, or out without a fight. In fact, Showtime was about to have his hands full because the real "Showtime" is when Noah steps into the ring and everybody knows that as a fact. The War Machine doesn't play around, especially when he's got the challenge in front of him that he does. Showtime wouldn't be easy but that just meant it was going to be even better when Noah won."It will soon, definitely be showtime-- but it won't be my opponent Showtime because when the bell rings all eyes are going to be right over here on me." Noah cocked a smirk, his haired tied back into a pony tail behind his head and he wore a GGW zip-up work-out jacket. For now we could only see his Torso, but from what we heard out of Noah two weeks prior was that he was ready, in fact he was more than ready; ready to come back to the states, step inside of the GGW ring and win. Didn't matter who the opponent was, big or small, strong or weak, he'd win because to get where he wanted it was the only option in front of him."I get types like you, Showtime. Ya spend all of your free time in the gym, staring at yourself in the mirror, flexing for hours just thinking thinking to yourself 'damn I look good.' And if that's what you want to do I'm not going to stop ya but instead of cutting a man down because he's not a six foot seven chiseled rock gave me a really good idea on the type of person that you are, Show, and it gave me that little bit that I needed to know just how to deal with you. I get it, you're a big son of a bitch and that's not gonna make this easy but ya know what they've always said about me? It's how much I love a challenge. So what I'm really wanting out of you, Show, is a challenge. I want the challenge that I know you can bring so instead of playing this stupid little waiting game.. once I'm done here I hope you've got something in the works real soon because the moment that we get in that ring and the bell sounds? There is no "Showtime" and all the insults in the world won't save ya. So go ahead, mock my height like ya mocked Matt Ward's weight but I can tell ya real fast my height won't have anything to do with me kicking your ass on Wednesday." And that was the mouth of Noah Adelaide. The man that always called it how he saw it and was known for his high flying, yet aggressive physical style in the ring and the aggressive tone to his promos. He would never let on if he felt as if he was out-matched, or out gunned and he'd fight until the very end. Of course this was rarely ever the case he felt this way anyway, and "Showtime" wasn't going to be one of those to Noah."I know you're bigger than me, a good six inches, almost a hundred pounds of pure... challenge. The Golden Gate audience has yet to really see what there is to offer because the talents are flooding in from all over the country, from all over the world even and each and every night is our night to make a stance and show what we've got. Two weeks ago you trampled Matt Ward and you took one step forward giving you that one extra edge over me. It's got you that one step higher in the brackets to get at Stevenson and the championship. But on Wednesday that changes. On Wednesday, June 3rd it's time that things get a little extra intense in here because that's when I debut and I don't quite know if you're ready for that, yet, Show. You might be good, you might be damn good but for every ounce of good that you are? I'm better." Noah smirked and paced from side to side as the camera panned out we could now see that we were outside and it was relatively sunny out. It was earlier in the day during the recording and it had almost looked like a park type of area. He wore a pair of black gym shorts with two white stripes down each side and had his orange and black running shoes on."Ya see, Show, I'm a machine. I've had many people try and dismantle me, try and take me down and I really don't expect any less from you. You'll try to tear me apart, no doubt, but the more you try... you try... the more you're just going to see that you can't break me down. You can't dismantle me, you can't destroy me and you won't beat me, Show. Not in your wildest DREAMS will you beat me. See, there's a whole lot more at stake than I think you're realizing, Show. So you might be impressed with yourself over that victory you got over Matt Ward, but just like everybody else... I'm throwing my name into that hat for the Golden Gate championship because I've got me a nice little bone to pick with Stevenson myself and I'm going to go through each and every single person that stands in my way to do it. On Wednesday, it's you. Then two weeks from then, it may be Theo Vega and his petty keyboard warrior jokes that we've all heard a million times over, or it could be anybody else on the roster, new or still trying to find their niche. But I won't stop, Show. I won't stop with you, and I won't stop with anybody until I get my shot at Stevenson. I'm going to start making people tap out or I'll snap their damn necks to get to where I need to go. So just be ready for the match of your life, Show, because things are about to get real fuckin' interesting!" With that, Noah turned around and leaps over the concrete wall which was only a couple of feet high to a drop down below. The camera rushed over and looked over to see Noah bouncing from one platform to another, wall to wall, to rooftop, etc, getting in his elemental training before the match in just a few days. Showtime was big, and he was going to be tough but that wouldn't stop Noah, especially with his must-win attitude and the will to do whatever he has to do to get to Drew Stevenson and the championship.
Noah, a former student of Drew, Scotty and Frank, given the nickname 'War Machine' as 'The Iron Man' Drew Stevenson's disciple and to see what Drew did just to get the edge over a man he called a brother for so long. The gold had begun to mean more to Drew than everybody else and it made Noah ashamed to be a former student of his with the way Drew was acting. Noah wanted the match to break away from the 'Iron Man', to seek vengeance for his fallen brother in Frank Washington, and to stand at the top of the GGW hill as the king of the mountain... the champion.
(And maybe some women will be flashing too. Never know.)
End.

Noah knew as soon as he spoke up, Showtime wouldn't be too far behind and that was good. It was what Noah wanted. And Showtime came out at Noah just as he figured he would. Because yes, Noah knew he was at a height and weight disadvantage but by acknowledging where he lacked, he knew that he had to take what he lacked and put that into other places such as his speed, his execution, his submission and even his high risk offense to keep Showtime guessing whats coming next. Noah was well trained before he went off on his own and spent time over seas which gave him multiple ways to be able to finish off an opponent. Showtime was ready for a fight, but he wasn't ready for the fight that Noah was going to bring. The Golden Gate championship was calling Noah's name and he wasn't going to rest until he got to it."I'm an elf! Hey everybody! Showtime called me an elf! Heh." Noah was once again outside, spending more time training, working on his cardio because he knew he was going to have to keep moving fast against Showtime and he was ready for that; but had to make sure that he was more than ready because this fight wouldn't be easy."That's cute, bud. Real smooth but ya know the one thing that stands out about you pal? It's not your size-- it's the fact you're hidin' behind them insults. Sure folks can talk about how you can whip an insult as good as any of 'em, take your little quips at anybody for anything ya can but it's lookin' to me like you've got a whole lot more defects that you're tryin' to hide. Maybe you'd be better suited for children's parties. Take a few lessons from Regular Show (short video)." Noah paused for a moment, looking around as the sun was shining bright, a beautiful day outside."But what I'm going to tell you, Showtime, is that your quips aren't gonna get ya the win over me on Wednesday night. I know my height puts me at a disadvantage but all it means is that I'll be putting more focus into everything else. While you'll be focused on looking one way, >BAM< I'll be hitting you from another because you're muscle headed brain won't be able to keep up. Now understand this, Show, I know you've got the talents to be a big star anywhere you've been or will be but that's not going to stop me from finding ways to knock you down, keep you down and make you tap out. That's the one element that you're over looking, pal. When you're in the ring with the War Machine, it's more than just some flyin' around. I can fly with the best of 'em but I can take you to the ground just as easy and finish you off. After Wednesday, I know you and I will be crossing paths again but everybody knows that the first night is all about making impressions and victory is everything. That's why I'm going to do everything in my power to get that victory, to get that step closer to the Golden Gate Championship that belongs with me." Noah was always serious about what he did. Every so often he may break out some strong sarcasm like at the beginning but his vibe will quickly change because this is what he's wanted all of his life; to be inside of the squared circle has been his calling for a long time. His ability to go high risk or surprise you with a submission or even mix the two is uncanny. Showtime didn't realize that and it would be his undoing."Quips won't get you back to your feet when I knock you down. Quips won't save me from taking you out if that's what I gotta do and I'm sure you understand that. This business is all about getting to the top and staying there and that's right where I'm going. But it's begun, Show. You stepped up just like I knew you would. You came at me just like I knew you would and now things begin to get interesting. Can you feel it in the air, Show? Can you feel the storm that's coming? I can. I can feel the electricity in the air, the wind is picking up, the clouds are comin' from one end and the other and that moment we clash, they're gonna clash and it's gonna pour like no tomorrow because there will not be another clash like Wednesday until we clash again. But the storm, it motivates me, Show. The wind helps carry me through the air and the thunder and lightning crash, the sounds soothe my mind and they motivate me. They get me pumped and going, focused and collected. Show, I'm a dangerous man inside of that ring; it's like my own personal playground and I don't like it when people come and try to take my spot." Interesting analogies by Noah, indeed. It was a side that we don't see often from Noah but he was still carrying that intensity that defined him as the War Machine."So it's clear that you're ready, Show, and I'm glad that you are. But you better make sure you've got all eyes open at all times because when I strike you, it's going to count. It could be from anywhere at any time. So I hope moving forward, we've got a bit better of an understanding of one another. In the end we both want the same thing but only one of us can get there first and I'm sure you won't be too far behind once I take that belt away from Stevenson with my own two hands. Maybe I'll even give you the first shot. But before we can get there we have to get through Wednesday, and on Wednesday, June third, it will be my pleasure to go through you and onto the next challenge. No mater how big, strong, hard hitting or tough they may be... I'll be tougher. I'll be more determined. And just like Wednesday, one way or another, I will win. It's really that simple. All the fighting, the quips, the insults or even if you manage to get serious before the bell rings, it won't matter when I either pin you in the center of the ring, or better yet... I make you tap-- and I can make you tap. But I'm glad you showed up, Show, really. Because now it makes all of this that much more interesting. And always remember... don't let the size fool you." Noah cocked a smirk as he usually does and turned to walk out of camera view. It was going to be an intense battle between these two men would be nothing short of epic for the early stages of Golden Gate Wrestling and with each win being that stepping stone to get closer to Drew Stevenson and the Golden Gate Championship, Noah was going to do everything in his power to get there as fast as he could and he wouldn't let anybody stop him from getting there before anybody else.

The match with Showtime was coming up fast, there was no question about it. Just a mere twenty four hours til these two clash and Showtime was finally beginning to see that fight that was in Noah but he really didn't know quite what he was up against. But even so, even though Showtime acknowledged how much of a fighter he saw Noah as publicly, Noah always believed that in the back of theirs minds they still saw him as an easy competitor because he was a little smaller and that was what gave Noah that extra fire. Even if they didn't want to admit it-- there was going to be a little something in them that saw that because he's five foot and nine inches, unless they were around his size, they just thought about laughing that he had a chance at beating them. Showtime was a good six or seven inches and almost a hundred pounds on Noah. Showtime in the end, to Noah, was just like all of the others, all of the doubters. He said he wasn't but that was how he kept his confidence about Noah. Somewhere in his mind where he knew Noah would be able to beat him, he had to doubt it and say to himself "I'm so much bigger than this runt, he's no challenge."
Noah had the fire in him to win. Showtime had the fire as well, but Noah would make sure his would burn that much brighter.
"Showtime... yeah he's a hell of a talent and he showed it against Matt Ward two weeks ago. Normally, I'd doubt anything that comes out of his mouth but he was right about one thing: I am a Warrior. And a real warrior never gives up in the face of adversity. Showtime isn't the first big guy that I've ever faced in my career and he won't be the last. Were under twenty four hours until Gold Rush and and it's the clash of the God of War and a Titan, except you can call me Kratos. All of the heavens above will be shaking when the bell rings, Show, and then it's game on. There is not a single person in that locker room that will stand toe-to-toe with either of us because what's being looked at are the two very best that this company has to offer and that's why we're goin' one on one, that's why it's the clash of the century!"
Noah smirked with a laugh for a moment before he continued.
"There is not a shadow of a doubt that the first man to compete for Drew and that championship is one of us-- whichever one of us ends up getting the victory. So who's it gonna be, Show? The big guy or the war machine? You can be all of the classics, Arnold and Stallone, and sure, I'll be that Robert Patrick except I won't be falling into the molten lead and you won't have that alternate power to get back up when you're put down. I'll be like Jason Statham, and kick your ass in more ways than you can count because they call me the war machine. Or how about we cut that roleplayin' crap out and just admit that when it's you and me, one on one, mono y mono, as epic as the clash may be... I will walk out the winner."
Both men would tell each other back and forth over and over again that they each thought they'd be the winner and had their own ways of being convincing as such. The crowd was going to be packed waiting to see these two go at it and be on their feet the entire time that they are.
"Tomorrow night we see who the better man on that night will be. And I have no shadow of a doubt that one day you will be one of the many that's able to stand up to Drew Stevenson and knock his head around a bit. Lord knows that there's a line waiting but you're gonna have to take a number, son, because once I pin you in the center of the ring... or maybe I make you tap out-- haven't really decided on that one yet, I'll be number one in line and when I get my hands on that emerald bitch, I'll show him what a real submission is when I snap his neck. I've got a respect for you, Show, so you won't suffer the same fate but unfortunately you'll be walking out on the losing end tomorrow night and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that it happens. The exchange of words? It's been fun, it's been swell, it's been god damn entertaining but tomorrow the entertainment stops and the words do no good, only actions. And let me assure you, Show, if you've never caught one of my matches before; my actions speak a whole lot louder than my words. You can try and pluck me outta mid-air but in order to do that you'd have to know what's about to hit you and I'll be movin' so fast you'll have to do a double take. And by the time you do that? It's gonna be too late."
Noah stood next to the ring he's been training in, pausing for a moment.
"I know that you think you're ready but you really have no idea just what you're getting into. I don't expect you to quit or to give up and that's what I love... it's the challenge that you bring to the table Showtime. It's the size difference, the strength difference, it's the fact that we're two world apart entirely while clashing in the same world. It will be storm of the century and everybody is going to have their eyes peeled, refusing to turn away. The battle has only just begun between you and I, Showtime. We're only at the first stage but you better keep all eyes open on me at all times and don't blink because if you do? It's all over until we meet again. You're as big as they come and you're as strong as an ox but it's never stopped me before and it won't stop me now. Tomorrow night, June Third, we lay it all out in the ring but I assure you that as good as you are, and as good as you will be tomorrow... I will be better and that is something you can count on. See ya soon, Show. Hope you're ready for the fight of your life tomorrow night."
Noah gives a nod and rolls back into the ring and we fade out.
