The room was quiet and the lights dimmed, with a single lamp fully emitting light as Eli stood against the desk in his office. He was looking over a bit of paperwork, oddly calm after his first loss. He smirked to himself and tossed down the paper. A chess board sitting next to him as a single pawn has been moved on the board. While another pawn had been eliminated from the board.
"I went all over the internet...searching for everything that had to do with our debut show...most of the websites gave positive reviews...but they all had one joke."
He looked down at the paper, as the camera tilts down, revealing the article he was looking over.
"Far be it that she is an ordinary woman...but a woman none-the-less. Yes...I did lose to her...but I lost intentionally...There I said it."
Eli looked at the camera, a huge smirk on his face. A knowing twinkle in his eye as he looked deep into the camera.
"You, see...underestimation is the key to any strategy. When one is underestimated, they are looked down on or often overlooked. You see, I don't care how it happens, my ultimate goal in this company is to win the title. How I do it...when I do it...The end justifies the means type...so I wanted to lose...to be looked down on. So that way, I can be underestimated...and slip my way into the title scene..."
Eli looks down at the chessboard and smiles softly as he holds up the King before setting it back down in it's previous place
"Yes...the pieces are in motion for me to get the title. The king obviously me...and the other king is my title...as each piece moves...it brings me closer to checkmate...which means bringing me closer to getting the title, or the other king in this analagy I call GGW."
Eli looked over at the lone pawn on the opposite side of the board, he cleared his throat and moved over to his office desk and took a seat, stretching out long and hard before picking up another pawn and moving it forward into striking range.
"You see...I sacrificed that win...I didn't care how I looked in my debut...it's not about always winning. Sure it makes you look good, but...who doesn't love the underdog story."
He chuckled as he looked over the board, his eyes darting all over the board as if he's mentally moving the pieces. He grins to himself and cracks his neck.
"In order to obtain ultimate victory...you let the pawns move first. Once the pawns are dealt with...you use your bigger guns to take out the exhausted forces...thus taking the loss was me losing a pawn...it's of no consequence to me if I lose or when I lose. As long as it fits my needs. That's why I took that three count to Mrs. Washington. That's why I went to the office...to make it look like I was whining...to be underestimated. Ultimately I was using her, to lure out that queen and expose the king...my title belt...after all once the queen is out in the open. I can take her off the board."
Eli leaned forward placing his elbows on the desk, away from the chessboard as he looked at the computer screen. A series of information collected on his opponent Gio Defalco posted up on the program he's using
"Now I face someone who has lost last GGW Event...just like me...while mine was intentionally...his was-well...I doubt it was on purpose like mine...however...he's just a pawn I must take out. I really must win here...after all...no king wants to be taken out by a pawn."
Eli reaches forward, and uses one of his pawns to take out an opposing pawn as he picks it up, he holds it up an examines it closely. A malicious grin crossing his features as his eyes narrow showing focus and resolve, something he lacked in the last Gold Rush.
"Let the games begin, Gio...Once I take you out...I'll be one step closer to the beautiful thing...I call Checkmate"
Eli sets the pawn down getting up to leave, as the word "GIO" is written on it. The camera zooms in on the name as a door is heard closing in the background.

Eli lost to a girl!
